Do you want to be a Therapist?

Therapists have the choice to:

• Work directly with families receiving EAP Consultation (Home Based ABA Programme)
OR
• Work directly with EAP at Stepping Stones Centre (Centre Based ABA Programme)

Differences between home-based and centre-based work as a therapist are:

Home Based
Centre Based
1 child in room; therapist works alone More than 1 child in room; other therapists are in the room
Caretaker is at home Therapist is also the caretaker (Maid available to help clean accidents)
Therapy hours are more flexible; can make up time on a different day Therapy hours are fixed ; therapist must be there or find a replacement
Caretaker is responsible for child at break Therapist is responsible for child always, even at break
Talk to caretaker after the session; session notes in data file Session notes are in communication file (goes home with parent)
Interviewed and hired by parents rInterviewed and hired by EAP

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated people to work with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

You as a therapist will play an important role in an intensive therapy programme. You will join a team of energetic people committed to improving this child’s language, play and social skills.

What to Expect:

If successful in your application, you must be willing to learn new teaching methods based on positive reinforcement, enjoy children, demonstrate dependability, and be excited about helping a child reach his/her potential.

A minimum commitment of six hours per week is required. In addition, you must be able to commit to fortnightly team meetings and trainings.

No prior experience is required as full training will be provided. Therapists also need to commit to each child for a minimum of at least 6 months.

    Hi, I m thami. I would like to join in EAP. Is there any vacancy currently? I am a diploma holder in Physiotherapy and also having experiences in handling children with ASD, DOWN SYNDROME and etc. Having the experiences in giving them treatment as well as education. I do have the experiences of being a special education teacher. I hope to get the reply soon. Thank you.
