    School Readiness Group Targets:
  • Playing Together through Cooperative Play, turn-taking, making choices, & group games
  • Classroom Skills such as sitting for up to 30 minutes, independent work, standing in line, raising hands, turning in ‘assignments’
  • Calendar Skills
  • Reading Skills
  • Writing Skills
  • Math Skills

    Prerequisites for     School Readiness Group:
  • General Compliance and Manageable Behaviour
  • Sitting at table / circle time for 5-10 minutes
  • Receptive Object Labels
  • Sight-Reading

    School Readiness Group Information
  • The Group Instructor will be a trained therapist
  • EAP provides 1 shadow per 2 children
  • Families have a choice of either 2 days or 3 days or 5 days per week:
    Monday through Friday
    Monday through Wednesday
    Thursday and Friday
  • School Readiness Group runs from 12:30 to 3:30 pm

    School Readiness Group sessions are run in terms:      
    Term 1 for 2009 is from 19 January to 31 March
    Term 2 for 2009 is from 1 April to 30 June
    Term 3 for 2009 is from 1 July to 30 September
    Term 4 for 2009 is 1 October to 31 December
