Training of the team and supervision of
the program is accomplished at workshops scheduled every 6-8
weeks. The initial workshop is one and a half days in length
(usually six hours per day) and follow up workshops are one
to two days. Team leadership and supervision between workshops
is provided by parents or by a particularly skilled team member
chosen by the parents. Fortnightly phone consultations between
the parents and the Supervisor take place to ensure the success
of the program. Families using this model schedule workshops
at least once every two months (six workshops per year). Children
on this program are given the option to see a WEAP Consultant
twice yearly for a progress review. These appointments are
generally one and a half hours in length.
