From mastering his first sounds and learning to count, to practising how to line up, wait, take turns, and participate alongside his friends, every small achievement has been an important step in his journey.
With early intervention and high-quality ABA therapy, he had the opportunity to build the skills he needed not only in therapy, but also for everyday life. Through consistent support, he worked on communication, following instructions, social interaction, independence, and school-readiness skills one step at a time.
And today, those little steps have added up to something truly special: he is ready to go to school!
For many children, skills like sitting in a group, following classroom routines, communicating their needs, transitioning between activities, and learning alongside peers may take time and practice. Early intervention provides that opportunity to start building these foundations during the early years, when children can benefit greatly from targeted, individualised support.
His journey is a beautiful reminder that progress doesn’t always happen overnight. Sometimes, it looks like one new sound, one successful count, one turn with a friend, or one day of following a new routine. Every little victory matters.
